Dataset description

This dataset provides high-resolution structural and mechanical characterization of PALACOS MV PMMA bone cement. It compares three mixing methodologies, Open Bowl, Vacuum Bowl, and Vacuum Cartridge, across vacuum levels from 0 to 650 mmHg. Data include micro-CT (µCT) derived volumetric porosity measurements, specific pore counts (macro vs. micro), specimen mass, and mechanical testing results (Young’s modulus and compressive strength) according to ISO 5833:2002.
