Dataset description

These data relate to an investigation into the wake structure and propulsive efficiency in the blue-blubber jellyfish Catostylus mosaicus. We show that these jellyfish have a relatively high propulsive efficiency compared to other swimmers, which they achieve by manipulating the water around them with their flexible bodies.
