Dataset description

Dataset for all results concerning the occlusion for linear dyes in calcite, particularly that of Congo red. This includes photographs, micrographs and absorbance spectra. This data was used to show that linear dyes incorporate in an oriented way, such that their absorbance, and therefore colour, relates to the orientation of the crystal with respect to the plane of polarised light.
