Area of wear scars on the surface of the UHMWPE tibial components articulating against cobalt chrome and PEEK-OPTIMA™ femoral components (n=3).  The area of the wear scar is expressed as a percentage of the total area of the superior surface of the tibial component.  Measurements taken after 3 million cycles of testing under intermediate kinematics and 3 million cycles under high kinematics.
