University of Leeds Leeds Institute of Medical Education myPAL (My Personalised Adaptive Learning) These visualisations are the result of the first phase of co-design workshops conducted on the myPAL project in Autumn 2017. A separate workshop was conducted for each year group on the MBChB (Medical degree), however Year 5 of the MBChB was subsumed into the Year 4 group as there were not enough Year 5 participants to have a group of their own. We ran two sessions of workshops with academic year leads and two sessions with clinical tutors (doctors who supervise and educate students while they are on placements). These visualisations centre on medical student’s workplace-based assessment data. In these images, students have drawn together potential views onto this data that allow them to spot patterns in the way they carry out these assessments. A write-up of this process can be found in the paper “How do students want their workplace-based feedback visualised in order to support self-regulated learning? Initial results & reflections from a co-design study in medical education” by Tamsin Treasure-Jones, Rosie Dent-Spargo and Sisira Dharmaratne. Published in the proceedings of the European Conference on Technology Enhanced Learning 2018. For further information, please contact mypal@leeds.ac.uk or visit http://mypalinfo.leeds.ac.uk/.
