Climate model data presented in 'Holocene lowering of the Laurentide ice sheet affects North Atlantic gyre circulation and climate'

Gregoire, Lauren and Ivanovic, Ruza (2017) Climate model data presented in 'Holocene lowering of the Laurentide ice sheet affects North Atlantic gyre circulation and climate'. University of Leeds. [Dataset] https://doi.org/10.5518/305

Dataset description

Output from a set of 5 equilibrium global climate simulations of the early Holocene period run with the HadCM3 general circulation model. The simulations correspond to 9.5 ka (tdqqc), 9.0 ka (tdqqd), 8.5 ka (tdqqe), 8.0 ka (tdqqf) and 0 ka (tdqqa), where ka is thousands of years before present and are fully described in the accompanying paper. The data is provided in NETCDF format. It consists of the surface orography used as a boundary conditions (i.e. input) and model output for each simulation. Model output is provided as monthly, seasonal and annual climatological means and standard deviation calculated over the last 100 years of each experiment for a range of atmospheric and ocean model output. Output fields include precipitation, surface air temperature, winds, geopotential height, atmospheric pressure, ocean temperature, salinity, velocity, depth of the oceanic mixed layer, sea ice concentration and ocean stream functions as well as a range of other climate variables.
