Dataset description
This dataset details 365 feeding events at the nests of 12 pairs of ospreys (Pandion haliaetus) collected 11 June - 5 September 2016. The data was collected from publicly accessible webcams via the internet. The spreadsheet OspreyFeedingByEvent.csv gives the data broken down by feeding event whereas the spreadsheet OspreyFeedingByDay.csv gives the data broken down by day and nest. The data details whether the prey was alive on arrival at the nest, how old the youngest chick was, and (in the by event data only) whether the other (non-delivering) parent was at the nest. The spreadsheet Locations.csv gives the geographic locations and websites at which cameras were situated. The text file OspreyRCode.r gives the code used to analyse the data in the R statistical environment.
