Dataset description

The data in this repository is associated with a paper regarding volume changes of material during drying within an additive manufacturing (paste extrusion) process. The data represents the surface position (Y, Z) of the printed layer at multiple positions across the part surface. It was collected using a laser profilometer. The data is stored in individual spreadsheets where each sheet represents a single scan. The folder structure is data > date collected > part name > laser > spreadsheets (numbered chronologically). Each sheet contains thousands of numerical values so it is challenging to ascribe meaning to it in this manner. As such, a series of python scripts that were created for data processing are included within the repository. The scripts were written to analyse data from each part of the experimental work and create the relevant plots/graphs for the publication. A brief description of each of the scripts is provided in the readMe.
