Description: This dataset is part of a publication that provides insight into the use of nanoparticle additives for yield stress reduction in concentrated suspensions of highly aggregated, irregularly shaped particles of magnesium hydroxide (Mg(OH)2). The dataset includes raw data from rheological tests of suspensions to indicate the use of SiO2 as a successful yield stress modifier. Further analysis using X-ray computed tomography, quartz crystal microbalance, differential scanning calorimetry and UV-visible spectrophotometry shows the effects of aging time on the yield stress modification in this system.
