1. ABOUT THE DATASET -------------------- Title: Creators: Adam Walton, Anne Ghesquière, Ben Varcoe Organisation: University of Leeds Rights-holder: Adam Walton Publication Year: 2024 Description: Amplitude measurements used for the plots of graphs in Figures 4, 5, 7, 8, and C1 of the associated paper "Quantum key distribution with displaced thermal states", generated through radio broadcasts. This set aims to allow recreation of those graphs, and confirmation of the claims made concerning those specific examples. Contained are the results of two uses of a thermal state QKD protocol, one performed with wired broadcasts, and one performed wirelessly. Both of these attempts produce a set of amplitudes measurements for Alice, Bob, and Eve. These results demonstrate that thermal broadcasts provide correlated amplitude measurements when split by a power splitter, which can then be used to produce bit strings for key distribution. CONTENTS ----------- File listing WiredAlice.txt WiredBob.txt WiredEve.txt WirelessAlice.txt WirelessBob.txt WirelessEve.txt Listed are two sets of three files, each containing a list of 3,000,000 amplitude measurements. WiredAlice, WiredBob, and WiredEve list the results of of the thermal QKD protocol performed in a wired setup, while WirelessAlice, WirelessBob, and WirelessEve list the results of the protocol performed with a Bob recieving a signal wirelessly. These results are all recorded in plain .txt files, and are produced through measurements performed in GNURadio (https://www.gnuradio.org/). 5. METHODS ---------- After preparation, the details of the method used to produce this data set will be available in the associated paper: Quantum key distribution with displaced thermal states. (2024).
