1. ABOUT THE DATASET -------------------- Title: Dataset for 'The potential utilisation of contaminated biomass following phytoremediation' Creator(s): Douglas G. Bray Organisation(s): University of Leeds Rights-holder(s): Unless otherwise stated, Copyright 2023 University of Leeds Publication Year: 2023 Description: The data preseneted here is the raw data from a PhD project, entitled "the potential utilisation of contaminated biomass following phytoremediation". The data presented contains biomass characterisation data of water hyacinth from India (Pune and Goyal Para); Uganda (three sites in Murchison Bay, Lake Victoria); and cultivated biomass from Aberystwyth University and Defiant Renewables Ltd. Also presented is the raw data from cultivation trials in India, demosntraiting the changes in biomass weight and water nitrogen concentration, as well as the changes in leaf nitrogen concentration. Finally, data from alkali acid protein extraction trials are presented, containing data on variying feedstocks and conditions.
