Data packet to support the publication: Dynamic finite element analysis of hip replacement edge loading: balancing precision and run time in a challenging model Contains results for various FE models. Models are labelled according to a model number. This maintains connectivity to the original cae files, and the settings for each model are included in the associated spreadsheets. CaseA and CaseB results are from preliminary work which established a wide range of initial options and modelling approaches. As such the comparisons are less ordered and more difficult to cleanly present. This was one of the reasons for producing a more focused and ordered set of comparisons using CaseC. CaseA - 45 degrees clinical inclination, 70N swing phase load, 4mm mismatch, 100N/mm 1Ns/mm spring, 2.5kg fixture. CaseB - 65 degrees clinical inclination, 200N swing phase load, 4mm mismatch, 200N/mm 1Ns/mm spring, 2.5kg fixture. CaseC - ISO 14242:4 - 65 degrees clinical inclination, 70N swing phase load, 4mm mismatch, 100N/mm spring. With 1Ns/mm spring damping and 2.5kg fixture (not specified in standard). Files in the csvs folder are just duplicates of the contents of these spreadsheets in a csv format. Term definitions: ards = Anti-rotation devices arc3 = Leeds University HPC. Broadwell E5-2650v4 CPUs, 252 nodes with 24 cores and 128GB of memory each DOF = degrees of freedom KE = Kinetic energy IE = Internal energy Note: Some of these files can be difficult to follow as the modelling techniques and evaluation changed throughout the process. In particular this affects cases A and B. Do feel free to contact the authors for confirmation if anything you are needing is unclear.
