This dataset contains the raw data for the paper entitled “Local anisotropy control of Pt/Co/Ir thin film with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy by surface acoustic waves” (https://doi.org/10.1063/5.0097172). The dataset corresponds to the figures in the paper. Folder “Figure1”: Contains the PowerPoint file of the Fig.1a and b. And raw data of the S-parameter in the Fig.1c. Folder “Figure2”: Contains all the .txt files of the hysteresis loops that were used in Fig2a to f. File naming patterns in the subfolder “Raw data”: “Frequency_attenuator_output power from VNA_Test number.txt”. Note that the gain of the amplifier is 33 dB. For instance: “93.35 MHz_-10 dBm_0dBm_1” indicates the applied frequency of the SAW is 93.35 MHz, the attenuator is -10 dB, and the output power from VNA is 0 dBm, and it’s the first test. This results in the total applied power of 17.5 dBm. Folder “Figure3”: Contains the original images and binary images that were used to determine the magnetisation reversal speed and the results in .txt files. Field naming patterns: “Conditions_Frequency_Attenuator_Output power from VNA_Test number_Background(01)/Final image(02).png”. Note that the gain of the amplifier is 33 dB. For instance: Filename: “Field only_0 MHz_0_0_2.0 mT_0_01.png”, “Field only_0 MHz_0_0_2.0 mT_0_01.png”. Magnetisation reversal speed without the presence of the SAW, the 2.0 mT indicates that the applied magnetic field was 2.0 mT, the last two numbers 01 or 02 indicate the background and final images, respectively. Filename: “SW_90.00 MHz_-10 dBm_5 dBm_3.2 mT_0_01.png”, “SW_90.00 MHz_-10 dBm_5 dBm_3.2 mT_0_02.png”. SW stands for standing SAWs. 90.00 MHz represents the applied SAW frequency. The -10 dBm is the attenuator value. 5 dBm is the output power from the VNA. The 3.2 mT indicates that the applied magnetic field was 2.0 mT, the last two numbers 01 or 02 indicate the background and final images, respectively. This results in the total applied power of 22.5 dBm. Folder “Figure4”: Raw data and fitting of the Fig4a to g. Numbered with the corresponding figure numbers. Folder “Figure5”: Raw data (magnetisation) of the micromagnetic simulations. Images were saved every 0.05e-9 s.
