DART weather data

Pring, Laura (2015) DART weather data. University of Leeds. [Dataset]

This item is part of the 'Weather Data' subcollection, within the DART collection.

Dataset description

At each study location 2 weather stations were installed (4 in total), each monitoring every 30 minutes rainfall, temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction and barometric pressure with 1 at each location additionally having a Solar and UV radiation sensor. 2 stations were chosen at each location to allow for a high degree of spatial resolution and to provide redundancy. The weather data combined with the in-situ soil measurements allow the assessment of the seasonal variations of the geophysical soil properties and vegetation mark formation as a result of varying weather patterns aiming to identify the biggest contrast between archaeological features and the surrounding soil matrix.
